Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the spatial temperature distribution within a high-temperature disinfection chamber in the peripheral bio-security system of pig farms and to identify the factors influencing the high-temperature disinfection of supplies. A high-temperature disinfection chamber located in the peripheral supply warehouse of a pig farm was selected. The temperature distribution across 27 spatial points within the chamber was tested. The collected temperature data was analyzed by generating temperature curves and temperature distribution scatter plots. The tests on the temperature distribution within the high-temperature chamber revealed that points closer to the heat cannon outlet exhibited higher maximum and average temperatures. Regarding vertical distribution, the maximum and average temperatures followed the pattern: upper layer > middle layer > lower layer. The use of a disturbance fan inside the chamber resulted in a more uniform temperature distribution both spatially and vertically. However, the temperature trends at some specific points changed after loading supplies into the chamber. The installation of a disturbance fan and the placement locations of supplies both influence the effectiveness of high-temperature disinfection. This study provided a reference for the high-temperature disinfection of supplies in pig farms.
