China Swine Industry was founded in 2006 and issued bimonthly (International Standard Serial Number: ISSN 1673-4645; Domestic Unified Serial Publication Number: CN 11-5435/S). Supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, sponsored by the Agricultural Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and guided by the Expert Group on Hog Industry of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, it is a core journal of agriculture and forestry in China, indexed by the Chinese Core Journals (Selection) Database, Chinese Journal Full-text Database, and Chinese Sci-Tech Journal Database. It is an excellent high-quality scientific journal of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine in China, and one of the first batch of academic journals certified by the former State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television.
1. This journal mainly publishes review papers, research articles and research notes related to the hog industry.
2. Solicited research fields include but are not limited to: genetics and breeding (breed resources, genetic breeding, reproduction), nutrition and feed (precision nutrition, novel feed resources and additives), biosafety and epidemic prevention & control, breeding facilities and technologies, information and intelligent equipment, meat science (quality and processing), resource utilization of waste and energy conservation & emission reduction, hog industry economics (industrial economics, circular agriculture, local pig industry), etc.
Only online submissions via the official website are accepted; hard-copy manuscripts and email submissions will not be processed. Please click the "Author Submission" section on the left side of the homepage of China Swine Industry (http://zhuye.aiijournal.com/CN/1673-4645/home.shtml) to complete author registration and online submission. During registration, authors shall provide true names, affiliations, detailed mailing addresses, contact phone numbers, postal codes, email addresses and other required information.
Please submit information of all authors in the order listed in the manuscript, especially details of the corresponding author.
1. Submitted manuscripts shall be scientific, applicable and practical, presenting cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements of the hog industry or articles with theoretical guiding significance and practical value for pig production. Manuscripts shall be well-organized, adequately supported with arguments, reliable in data, concise in wording, clear in charts, logically rigorous and fluent.
2. Manuscript length shall be determined by content, generally ranging from 6,000 to 10,000 Chinese characters. Each manuscript shall contain: title, author names, affiliations and postal codes, Chinese abstract and keywords; English title, English author names and affiliations, English abstract and English keywords, and references (sequential coding system). Manuscripts funded by research projects shall clearly state the project name and grant number.
3. All submissions must be original, and authors shall take full responsibility for the content. Multiple submissions of the same manuscript to different journals are prohibited. Author attribution shall be truthful and free of disputes over authorship and copyright. The Editorial Department reserves the right to make technical and textual revisions or deletions to manuscripts; authors who disagree with revisions shall state this clearly upon submission. Authors of manuscripts pending acceptance will be notified to pay peer review fees and page charges as required. Once published, the journal will provide appropriate remuneration and 2 complimentary printed copies.
4. To ensure a fair and impartial review process, single-blind peer review is adopted for all submissions, and a three-tier review system is strictly implemented: preliminary editorial review, external review by two peer experts, and final review by the Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Committee. The general review cycle is 1–3 months. If review is not completed within 3 months, authors may contact the Editorial Department via phone or email; within the 3-month period, authors may log into the Author Center on the official website to check review progress.
5. This journal has joined CNKI (China Academic Journal CD-ROM Electronic Press and its series databases), Wanfang Data Resource System, Chongqing VIP Information, Chaoxing Journal Online Publishing Platform, Changjiang Library, Open Science Identity (OSID) and other open science initiatives. Author copyright royalties for content distributed on the above platforms are included in the journal’s remuneration and will not be paid separately to authors. Authors who refuse to have their manuscripts included in these databases shall specify this upon submission, and the Editorial Department will make corresponding arrangements.
6. Publication fees (including manuscript processing fees, expert peer review fees, etc.) will be charged at standard rates for manuscripts scheduled for publication.
7. After manuscript acceptance, all authors are required to sign a copyright transfer agreement. Please complete relevant information promptly following instructions in the acceptance email to avoid delays in formal publication.
