Detection and Analysis of Antibody to gE Protein of PRV in Some Areas of Northern Xinjiang in 2020 by ELISA

Abstract: In order to understand the infection of pig pseudorabies wild strain (PRV-gE) in some areas of northern Xinjiang from January to December in 2020. 410 pigs blood samples were collected from 4 regions of northern Xinjiang and tested by the indirect enzyme-linked immunosorption test (ELISA) method. The results showed that the positive rates of PRV-gE antibody in 4 regions were 29.83%(196/657) and different antibody levels in Wusu area and other regions (P<0.05). The highest positive detection rates were farm A in each pig farm, 83.78% (62/74). Farm D and farm H's positive rate was 0.00%. Among the different groups of nursery pigs, the highest PRV-gE protein antibody positive rates were 46.77% (29/62). Nursing piglets' antibody levels were different from other pig populations (P<0.05). The experiment showed that there was wild poison infection in each pig group, and the infection situation varied between the pig farms and at different growth stages. It provided reference for PR prevention, control and purification of pig farms in northern of Xinjiang.
