Analysis on the Feeding and Management Techniques of Different Pig Herds in Modern Pig Farms

Abstract

Abstract: In modern pig farms, the health level of the gilts were the guarantee for improve the productivity and longevity of the sows, the health level of pregnant sows were directly related to the health and development of piglets, the nutrition intake of lactating sows must not only maintain their own productions but also meet the needs of feeding piglets. Piglets were the basis of modern pig productions. It was related to the economic benefits of large-scale pig farms greatly. Through analyzing the characteristic of modern pig farms, it pointed out the emphasis of feeding and management of gilts, pregnant sows, suckling sows and piglets. It provided a reference for the production and management of modern pig farms.
