Detection and Analysis of PCV2 Antibody Levels in Some Regions of Xinjiang in 2019-2020

Abstract

Abstract: In order to understand the antibody level and its fluctuation of porcine circovirus disease Type 2 (PCV2) in Xinjiang region during 2019—2020, this study detected and analyzed the antibody level of PCV2 in 475 serum samples by indirect enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The results showed that the average positive rate of PCV2 antibody was 69.68% (331/475), which did not meet the national standard (70%). The average S/P was 1.56. The average positive rate of antibody was 42.50%~86.67% in different pig groups, with a certain difference. Among the 5 large-scale farms investigated, only 2 farms reached the national standard of PCV2 antibody positive rate. All farms should further adjust and complete the existing immunization procedures according to the antibody test results to ensure the health of all pigs.
