A Comparative Study on Physical Properties of Pig Pellet Feeds at Different Growth Stages WANG Jinbu, CHEN Guiyuan, WANG Jiale, WANG Yu, QI Shengli China Swine Industry    2021, 16 (5): 44-47.   DOI: 10.16174/j.issn.1673-4645.2021.05.008 Abstract （1657）      PDF（pc） （1123KB）（359）       Knowledge map    Save The physical properties including diameter, length, hardness, bulk density, powder content and PDI (Pellet Durability Index) were measured for pig pellet feeds at different growth stages from a local feed mill. The results were classified and analyzed statistically referring to related standards. The results showed that the diameter was 2.87~3.94 mm with significant differences between each other(P<0.05) and increased with rise of pig age, it was the largest for sow feed and smallest for small pig feed. The particle length was 8.62~11.94 mm, it was the largest for large pig feed and the smallest for small pig feed. The length-diameter ratio was too high. The pellet hardness was 3.86~6.47 kg, it was the highest for large pig feed and the lowest for small pig feed. Hardness of small and medium pig feed was significantly lower than that of large pig feed and sow feed(P<0.05). Only small pig feed met hardness requirement. The bulk density was 576.7~614.6 g/L, which showed significant differences between each other and changed with the same trend of diameter. It was the highest for sow feed and the lowest for small pig feed. The powder content of small pig feed was the highest and only the difference between small pig feed and large pig feed was significant(P<0.05). PDI was the highest for large pig feed and the lowest for small pig feed. All feeds met related standards for powder content and PDI. Therefore, we suggest that feed manufacturers should pay attention to physical indices control by regulation of formula and processing parameters to improve physical quality of pellet feed. Effects of Feed with Different Proportions of Corn Citric Acid Residue on Weight Gain of Fattening Pigs WEI Baohua, WANG Yangjie, HAN Shuguang China Swine Industry    2021, 16 (1): 59-63.   Abstract （1625）      PDF（pc） （1202KB）（429）       Knowledge map    Save In order to study the effect of adding different proportions of corn citric acid residue in feed on the weight gain of fattening pigs, 40 fattening pigs of about 60 kg were selected in the experiment, and were completely randomly divided into 5 treatment groups with 8 pigs in each treatment group by single factor. The control group was fed corn-soybean meal basal diet, and the four experimental groups were fed diets containing 3%, 6%, 9% and 12% corn citric acid residue, respectively. The results showed that: ⑴there was no significant difference in average daily feed intake between the four experiment groups and the control group(P>0.05); ⑵the average daily weight gain and feed meat ratio of group A and B were not significantly different from the control group(P>0.05). The average daily weight gain of group A and B was 0.77% and 1.24% higher than that of the control group respectively(P>0.05). The feed meat ratio of group A and B was 1.63% and 2.29% lower than that of the control group (P>0.05). ⑶the average daily weight gain and feed meat ratio in group C and D were significantly different from those in the control group (P<0.05). The average daily weight gain in group C and D was 2.73% and 4.39% lower than that of the control group, and the feed meat ratio of group C and D was 3.59% and 4.9% higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). ⑷the feed cost of fattening pigs in group A and Group B decreased by 2.52% and 4.4% respectively for each 1 kg gain. The results showed that adding a certain amount of corn citric acid residue to the diet had a certain promoting effect on the growth performance of fattening pigs, and the economic benefit of breeding was significant, among which 6% was more suitable. Many farms used three-breed cross (DLY) sows as breeding, and the pig production capacity was restored, but the production efficiency of DLY sows was about 20% lower than two-breed cross (LY) sows. With the normalization of AFS, farms have strengthened the construction of biosafety system, and improving the production efficiency has become the main goal of farms. The number of two-breed rotaterminal cross sows are gradually increasing, replacing DLY sows with poor production performance is becoming a trend. This paper mainly reviewed the characteristics, nutrition and management of two-breed rotaterminal cross sows, in order to provide reference for farms. The continuous emergence of African classical swine fever, porcine circovirus type 3 (PCV3) and other new diseases has not only seriously restricted the development of pig and animal husbandry in China, but also caused a serious blow. At the same time, it also accelerated the pace of transformation and upgrading of pig farms in China, and put forward higher requirements for biological safety and feeding management of modern pig farms. Since the outbreak of PCV3 in domestic pig farms in 2016, it has spread to many provinces and regions in China, becoming a new epidemic disease seriously threatening China's pig industry. PCV3 infection not only damaged the health of pigs, but also greatly increased the risk of infection of other pathogenic microorganisms. At present, there is no effective vaccine to prevent and control PCV3, causing serious economic losses to pig farms. This paper briefly summarized the etiological characteristics, epidemiological characteristics, clinical symptoms and prevention and control measures of PCV3, so as to provide reference for the prevention of epidemic transmission and basic research of PCV3. The higher the utilization rate of heterosis, the higher the value is generated by breeding animals, and the greater the additional profit was generated by their offspring. Therefore, the utilization rate of heterosis was an important content which the majority of breeders pay more attention to. The evaluation of heterosis utilization rate depended on the prediction of heterosis of breeding stock. This article mainly reviewed the existing researches from the two aspects, heterosis utilization and heterosis prediction methods, and discussed methods for improving the accuracy of heterosis prediction, in order to provide certain reference and help for related research. In the experiment, they were bred to the 45 kg under the same breeding condition, then measured its carcass index and meat index. The results showed there wasn't significant difference in slaughter performance(P>0.05). Meanwhile, there wasn't significant difference in meat traits (P>0.05), except loin eye muscle with a significant difference(P>0.05). The flesh color comprehensive value of hybrid Bama pigs (maleYorkshire×female Bama Pig) was lower than hybrid Bama pig (wild boar×female Bama pig) and purebred Bama pigs (P<0.05).
